Challenge
One enormous issue is the limited access team members have to CAD drawings. Once a drawing is complete, several prints are made and sent overnight to several locations and thus incur high shipping costs and downtime. Often the CAD drawing has to be revised multiple times so the lengthy printing and overnighting scenario happens again and again. Once the drawings are received they are stored in drawing repositories with rolls and rolls of other drawings. After digging through reams of drawings to find the one you need, the drawing then has to be checked out. Time is then spent setting up a meeting where various team members can crowd around a table and view the drawing. This method of viewing not only wastes time but is ineffective.
